Global Justice Ecology Project (GJEP) is pleased to announce that Jay Burney will serve as the Media Coordinator for the international Campaign to STOP GE Trees,and for Biofuelwatch, based in Vermont and the UK. He will work out of the Buffalo office of Global Justice Ecology Project.

Mr. Burney has 30 years plus of working with environmental and sustainability issues and media. He has extensive experience working with NGOs, not for profit organizations, schools, communities, and engaging and educating government officials and the private sector.Mr. Burney is the founder of GreenWatch, a project focused on encouraging literacy for media makers involving sustainability and environmental issues, and The Learning Sustainability Campaign.

The Campaign to STOP Genetically Engineered (GE) Trees works for a global ban on ecologically and socially dangerous GE Trees. Itcarries out awareness and action strategies regarding the impact of genetically engineered trees and their commercial production on peoples, ecosystems, and the climate. Global Justice Ecology Project is a founding memberof, and houses, the Campaign to STOP Genetically Engineered (GE) Trees, and is the North American focal point for the Global Forest Coalition.

Biofuelwatch works to raise awareness of the negative impacts of industrial bioenergy on biodiversity, human rights, food sovereignty, and climate change. Biofuelwatch is based in the UK and the US. National and international partners work to expose and oppose the social and environmental damages resulting from bioenergy driven increased demand for industrial agriculture and forestry monocultures. https://www.biofuelwatch.org.uk/
