This week’s Earth Watch on the Sojourner Truth show on KPFK Pacifica Los Angeles features Campaign to STOP GE Trees Coordinator Anne Petermann reporting from the 2019 international IUFRO Tree Biotechnology Conference in Raleigh, NC. Petermann addresses the unique threats from researcher plans to release GE American chestnuts into wild forests, as well as threats from work to engineer trees for traits that enable them to be grown much more densely in industrial timber plantations.
