Reporting from Paris, Democracy Now! spoke to Dallas Goldtooth of the comedy group the 1491s, and his father Tom Goldtooth, executive director of Indigenous Environmental Network. Tom Goldtooth, who is a member of Global Justice Ecology’s New Voices Speakers Bureau, is the recent recipient of the Gandhi Peace Award. The Goldtooth’s discussed the heightened police state and bureaucracy coupled with the limited resources available to dissenting voices at the COP21 Climate Conference.

And why are — why is that voice being shut down? – Tom Goldtooth
